I think you have about 20g-25g of tuning availble in the RED RD. Mine is currently at 122g but I can drop that to 120g quickly but with little to no adjustment.
I think everything else looks pretty good. I bought two of the 17g carbon bottle cages from Toronto Cycles but they never held the bottles very well so one is now between my aerobar extensions and the other is on my MTB.

Thanks -- I'm especially impressed with Dark Albert's Red-tuning. A 15 tooth pulley will have a small weight penalty with a few extra chain links to cover it, but it should have less drivetrain loss.
Anyway, a few more photos. It's basically where I want it now, other than possible that derailleur hack.

I am not sure. There's a set at 294 grams in listings. There was a long thread back in 2008 on SRAM Red mass. I should find that.
I don't think I weighed them with cables, although it's always possible. That would explain the difference between calculated and measured total bike mass (although errors, for example in cables & housings, might also explain it).

Great build and great looking bike. I agree with you, there has to be a limit to weight savings vs price. Some parts are just too expensive to shave off just a couple of more grams.
