Looks like a work of art in progress. I like the slope of the top tub and bottle cages. Crank looks great on there also.

A few pieces where castoffs. The cranks that came off my GT since I "just had to have XTR on the GT".

Image

The build:

Frame: Lynskey Pro29 Size Large
Fork: Rock White Bros Rock Solid 29” carbon fork
Headset: Red Chris King
Spacers: carbon fiber.
Wheels: I-9 single speed red spokes with Stan’s Arch rims
Front Tire: Panaracer Rampage 29er X 2.35
Rear Tire: Panaracer Rampage 29er X 2.35
Cog: Endless Bike Kick Ass Cog 20 tooth & alloy spacer kit
Chain: KMC K710SL SuperLite Kool Chain
Crankset: Shimano LX 580 175mm with a Black Spire 32 tooth ring
Pedals: Time carbon Axis
Bars: Easton Monkeylite carbon riser bars 31.8
Grips: Titec Porkrinds Foam
Brakes: Avid BB-7 Mechanical disks
Levers: TRP 930 LP
Cages: Token 16 gram carbon with titanium bolts
Brake cables and housing: Alligator I-Link – black.
Skewers: Salsa
Stem: Token 939A 110mm Hey its light at 110.3 grams
Seatpost: Thomson Masterpiece
Saddle: Whatever for now.

Consider I didn’t install the Stan’s kit yet and it has a castoff saddle with some very porky tubes it came in at 20.96 lbs. I do know the tires are not lined up and will do that when I do the Stan's kit next weekend.

This should be in the mountain bike forum. I don't think Juanmoretime needs to introduce himself anymore.

Nice twentyniner.

Why did you decide to make this one a single speed ? Not that anything is wrong with that.

In the Midwest you seldom get out of the middle ring. Most climbs are very short and steep. I do have the other dropout should I decide I need gears but it adds to the challenge. One gear and no excuses.
