Well, I've posted this bike before, but the only thing that is left from the original post is the frame and headset, so I felt it deserved a new post. The final two pieces of the puzzle arrived this week; the clavicula cranks with extralite rings (514 grams total!) and a storck stileto light ums fork. The bike shop scale has it pegged at exactly 12.5 lbs but I think it's closer to 13 lbs. Regardless, it is my dream bike in every way.

I've spent the morning cleaning, tuning, and taking pictures. Now it's time to take it for a ride.

Love it

Only the ritchey stem would go for a stem with less text

Amazing build, Classy and looks super fast!
It was mentioned above but i agree about the stem, also a more traditional round curve handle bar will make it more classic!

Awesome, as mentioned above a stem with less text will totally finish it. Moots has nice Ti stems but my personal vote goes to a custom painted Rotor S1 8)

cruel!
how do you like the wheels?
i like the red parts, maybe you could do some more alloy screws here and there.
i think a stem with the same carbon look like fork, seatpost and crank would look best, but don't know about availability. ritchey 4axis carbon would not make it better than it is though.

Looks great. I really like the red too. Maybe some red alloy chainring bolts would add a little more.

Wa Wa We Wa!

What kind of tires are those?
This board would be MUCH nicer if everybody would just chill out.

thanks for the kind comments. i agree with the statements made about the stem, except there is nothing out there that gets me excited. I like the moots stem.... except it's > $300 and it's heavier with no performance gain. I like the extralite stem, but is also expensive and can be tough to find. The reason I haven't gone with more red is because I'm about to change out the Chris King headset with a black Extralite to reduce the stack height about 1 cm. So, I think black is the way to go. I'll post the build list so everyone knows what has been included.

55 cm Moots Compact SL (1270 grams)
Storck Stileto Light UMS Fork (260 grams cut)
Lew Pro VT-1 Wheelset with Vittoria Evo CX tires (I could save at least another 150 grams by going with something in the 200 gram range)
Campy Record shifters, front and rear der., and full ti cassette
AX Daedelus Seatpost
AX Sprint saddle
THM Clavicula crankset with Extralite rings (compact 175 matte finish)
Ritchey WCS Carbon Stem
Zero Gravity Ti brakes
Syntace Race Light Carbon Handlebar
Time RXS Pedals

I must comment that one of the biggest performance upgrades are the Time pedals. I switched from Speedplay Ti and the difference is incredible. I feel like I hook up to the bike much quicker in accelerations and my pedal stroke feels much more powerful. It could be in my head, but I love the way they feel.

very nice build. I would remove the upside down "ritchey" stickers on the stem.

I like how 'simple' it looks, but its very top end.
