that's nothing to be ashamed.. just the fact you have a machine to get out there and ride in the shitty weather makes it cool. funny that the front light is worth more than the bike tho... as is the hub.

Here is mine. Finished putting it together about a month ago. Just in time for winter. Mostly built with left over parts. A few things I would like to change. Handlebars, they just dont have the right bend or something. Centaur shift levers drive me crazy. I have to find Chorus or buy new Record for my daily bike and move those over. Maybe a new BB some time too.

Just got mine set up for winter. Nothing too light on it, just solid reliable stuff. Trek 1000 Frame, Ultegra Cranks, cassette and chain, 105 Shifters and rear mech (9spd). Fulcrum Racing 7's with GP 4 Season's on them. Bontrager finishing kit and the important full length mudguards. Polar CS200 Cad too help keep my mind occupied on longer rides. Just got a Lupine Wilma 6 for darker riding, so looking forward to trying it out on training rides and countryside commuting.

I used to have a bog standard steel Diamont that was lighter than this and far comfier, sadly it corroded from the inside and snapped.

Correct, stickers cost a 10th of the frame. Having trained with a guy who rode for DeRosa RT, the last thing I'd ever buy would be a carbon DeRosa.
