i will do that as well - i have a piece of a broken tune carbon-seatpost and will use the upper- undamaged pipe to cut off that thing... i will prepare the surface, with contacts the saddle with cyanacrylat (industrial glue, makes a hard surface) to avoid damaging... lets see if it holds in fall...

i'd be a bit scared of that .
sorry, I don't understand, you are scared for my bad english, or for the piece of carbon?

slowly please , if you want tuned the seatpost, you have take the carbon of a tube of fork for exemple sid wc, reba wc, or others, because the carbon for a seatpost there is too fine, and this piece... broken.
Great bike.
Some riders remove the plastic stuf on the fork (located at the bottom). THis allow to save for free few grams.
(I don't know if it is a problem for the fork; pro riders do it, but... no risk for the lifetime of the fork?)

What is the weight of the crankset with the TA rings?

nice built, some parts are realy cool as is the frame
But i still think it looks a bit fragile. Maybe it's because of the XL size?

It is actually rubber and weights next to nothing and it is there for a reason.
With out it the fork internals are very exposed from the ground.

for the piece of carbon i've seen some broken...i think is just too fragile for off-road use. you put your ride (and life) in risk for what? 0.7 g or something more...it's just senseless.
