The fact that they're nothing special unless you spend over £3000?
Their cheaper ones are over priced for what you get! IMO
Even though i have one!

Ha. I love everything else, though. How does it ride? Comparisons?
It's a great ride. Nice stiff BB area keeps the power where it needs to be. I've heard people say that this frame doesn't corner well but I have no issues with it's cornering. I guess to best sum up the AXM it is truely a fast stiff ride but not exactly the most comfortable for long rides. I generally like riding in the hills under 50 miles, long trips aren't my thing. When I read the Bicycle magazine review I new this was the bike for me. I haven't been dissapointed. Of course it was a big chunk of money even with the great deal I got so 404's & 9spd shimano components were my compromise. The Bora Decals are only because nothing else looks right on this frame. It's all about sex appeal

I really wanna build up a nice road bike. Not a super bike ala LJ/Erez.
Maybe a Soloist, with 303's and campag centaur 07 group.
Will have to wait fo quite a while though.

The Soloist is a sweet ride. He & I are about the same size so I've pushed it around a bit. Feels like It's ready to go where & when you wanna go. Not as brutish as the AXM, but what is. THe Soloist has a nice stiff BB area & just enough give in the frame for long rides. I'd put in my top five favorite frames, maybe top 3.
