Thanks, and yes, I do actually ride it It was just washed and the new wheels, tires, rotors and skewers help with that new bike smell.
I had a scalpel and loved it. 22 lbs with nothing crazy. I eventually sold it because I rode my SS 90% of the time and needed the money .
i sold couple days ago my scalpel 3000 frame
after 4 years of full service
completely satisfacted

I want to get my bike down to 22 lbs but not sure what to do next without spending a fortune. Like I said, probably cranks. I want to get rid of the octalink bb first and foremost. I'm still thinking a Raceface crank made into a 2 X 9 with a 28 inner and a 40 middle with no outer ring. This would have to be done with the 104/64 4 arm crankset. Hope it will work.
Hi CaptainWilier,
Whats your opinion on the performance of those A2Z rotors?
also, why 28 inner? would 30 middle not be low enough (less bolts also, especially if you use a 4 arm crank.) or are you going to a road 12-27t cassette.
Cheers,
Rich.

Hey STATO, I, sadly, put the wheels and rotors on last week and have not had a chance to ride it yet. They stop me fine in my parking lot though.
I would like a 28 ring because I do use my 22(triple) around here some, we do have some Steep hills, and I think a 29 or 30 would be too large. I'm running a 11-34 rear and want to try the 2x9 so I think the 28 would be ok.
