Had a chance to change some parts today - current weight is now 8,16 kg so getting closer to the 8 kg mark
Coming upgrades are Schmolke TLO handlebars, Tune wheelset, KMC x10SL chain and Syntace F99 stem with ti-bolts. Excepted weight is about 7,8 kg.
To Scapin - especially for you, my friend

Yes I know - I have a 10 grams difference in calculated weight and real weight! The calculated weight is 10 grams lighter so maybe you are right
Yes, now I'm sure: you are really Mad...

I'm Mad...s but not crazy - ofcourse I want to use dualcontrol shifters for the best shifting
they are there - must be the sunlight, shadow, wrong camera angle etc that causes the decals not display
Hey Mads,
Do you race with those Maxxis'?And are you braking with some Stans Rotors?
Goddamned...I'm still waiting for some bits just for getting just under the 8k.Nice bike after all...i've to admit that those Zemper bikes do look great, after some acclimatisation time! Great build!

Hi $mokeyJoe - thanks!
I just got the tires today so I have only tried them on a quick spin on the road! I will ofcourse try them offroad - might try tubeless with stans latex!
The alu rotors are for racing only - braking power is fairly good but not as good as my Hope floating rotors.
Regarding Zemper bikes - just wait and see! Something really excited is underway!! I'm really excited but have to be patient and wait! Things takes time
Hope to build the lightest public know hardtail with disc brakes. So far the lightest hardtail with disc brakes is 7.91 kg - I hope to reach 7,6 kg!

And i'm pretty sure that it'll be possible.
Are you reffering to that bike on the Light-bikes site from Grzegorz Brzózka?

Yes - seems like his Simplon is the lightest!
I don't use barends but I will have hubs that last longer than Soul Kozal

I was. I locked him out for using CLAIMED weights on his tires. I will be checking the top 20 all ALL bikes and new posting more carfully with our new format coming.
Cheat once you are locked out till you cooperate. cheat twice, 1 month ban. cheat 3 times, lifetime ban.
With out new site and format, we will be droppoing lot's of bikes an the other catagoery will go away. A special Platinum section will be used for super exotic rides with parts that are not really raceable or everyday parts or are mainly for show (carbon chainrings, shocks without dampers, etc.) This decision will be based by a panel of riders and mods.
Category weights will go down and max weight allowed on the site will get even lower.
Lots of nice and new changes!! Only the lioghest and TRUE WW bikes will make the cut.
