I ride 3 bikes

A 2005 Giant XTC2 (Sram version), Stock aside from Deore Hydros (don't like the hayes it came with) weighs in at about 25lbs, want to swap the Skarebs and put some Rebas on it and XT Cranks (intergrated BB type) and carbon seatpost, stem and bars. Thinking I might swap the frame with a light weight Full Sus frame

A 2003 Giant AC2 which I built from the frame up, its got all the strong gear on it but unfortunatly it weighs about 42lbs, though its an amazing bike and climbs hills easily and quickly and decends them ever faster!!
Might look at making it a bit lighter after I have finished with the XTC

A 2003 DiamondBack Team Podium which I built from the frame up with Campag Chorus 9 Speed, weighs in at 20lbs could be a bit lighter, might get a ligter wheelset once again when finished with the XTC

Thats the standard spec for most races here, I change the tyres to Racing Ralphs when the weather is good enough (very rare).

I should have the 2006 frame before the end of this year, which will be 200-300g lighter. Other upgrades include lighter forks (prehaps Maniou R7's if they are good) and a lighter wheelset (DT Hubs, Stans rims).
I have plans to change the skewers (to USE Spin Stix) and Stem (to Ritchey WCS) within the next few weeks. I should have a sub 9kg ride soon :)

skogling, you might perhaps benefit from a slightly setback seatpost, to grab your saddle rails in the middle.
Otherwise great looking bike
