after some hours of work i switched most of the parts of my quantec to the storck adrenalin. the result is a 9,2 kg fully, which could be lightered with other tires, but i love the performace of the new michelin.

Image

the quantec becomes a little bit heavier (next lp, ea 70 stem, regular eggbeater, tune seatpost, fox float 80 rl ...). a new pic comes up in a few days.

Could you post some specs so that we/I can see how you done this :?:

Here is mine, a 2003 Scott Strike, previously mounted with VB (Avid TI, Steinbach levers and Xmax UST wheels), but now with discs (Juicy's 7) and a very light wheelset (AMC disc 1363g). Total weight is about 9700g. Nice bike for long distances races!

My newest is here..
theoretical offroad build listis here..

in the pictured config (with rather heavy Ritchey Tom Slick 1.4 tyres and heavy inners on 1999 Xmax wheels it weighs 8782g.

In all, I'm very happy to have gotten it under 9000g.

I am looking at Triple Ti eggbeaters to quickly win 160 g.

Also the used Transfil Mudlover brake cables are heavier than XTR ones. Although the mudlovers offer completely closed cables which is a good thing so I plan to leave them on.

I could further win 50g on the skewers if I use Tunes instead of Mavic's or XTR and even more by using latex inners.

I know the Hilset seatpost is also rather heavy and much too long, but I love the comfort of a Ti post and it is custom (has my name on it  )
A Tune SS could win me 80-90g here.

Hi, i ride a Klein Attitude. I bought this bike in The Netherlands where i lived before. Now i live in Austria where i can really mountainbike! My bike is from 2001 in the colour big sky blue. It is still in original condition (except Tune RH1 bar-ends and Avid brake-levers). I love Tune stuff so that's what i am going to put on my bike in the future. I have a Manitou SX fork, Shimano XT / deore group. The rest of the parts is Bontrager so that is not very fancy. What i like are the Rolf wheels......not very light weight but beautiful to see. I planning to replace the quickreleases first..of course for Tune quickreleases.

My bike weighs about 12 Kg with gear (pump, sattlebag, Polar bikecomputer and bottleholder.). Not light, but in time with Tune stuff the weight will drop minimum 2 Kg.
