Hello fellow bike nerds,

Long time lurker and this forum has heavily influenced this build. I have made it my goal to weigh every part of the bike and select the part for reliability first and weight second, lifespan of parts or cost is not a top concern but a consideration. The frame and fork is a 2018 Trek Emonda SLR 8 Disc 54cm H2. Your years of collective expierience and wisdom is much appreciated.

Uncut fork and cane creek 40 series, weight is not bad for what it is. Handlebar is 42x90, that weight I am very impressed with

Stock 135 seat mast cap, this is where I see the biggest opportunity to save a lot of weight for a little money.

What an awesome debut, do you have the complete parts list? What's the frame size/price, if you are willing to disclose? I'd probably couldn't afford it, lol, so I'll have to get to sub 6 the hard way.

Frame is a 54cm, H2 geometry. Bought it for the frame and sold off all the parts, I got it at employee pricing which is “confidential” but I probably have $1200 into the frame and fork after selling all the parts. I am waiting on the Aeolus 3 clinchers which I will mount Schwlabe Pro 700x28 tires. Perhaps MCFK/ SPD2 wheels later on. plan on building it up with Etap. Parts list is a work in progress, as is the bike.

The post you could say. With clamps for 7x10 rails, the heaviest of the 3 :(

This almost makes up for the heavy clamp.

I haven’t weighed the bubble wrap separately so not sure of actual weight.

This is looking good.
Looking forward to see the complete build.

Is it integrated brakehose through the fork?

It is not, the cable is held on with 2 small zip ties. I am going to try and use 2 small o rings for mounting for a Cleaner look. If there is a lighter internally routed fork out there I’d be interested.

There is a lighter fork (330g uncut, integrated crown race), but not internally routed, the hose enters at the crown and exits at the caliper. See my thread for details.
