Hey guys,

Like most I'm new but have been sniffing around for a while.

I've got the weight weenie bug but my build is a practical one I think?

I don't have the official weight just yet as it still requires brake pads.

2017 Orbea Orca Full Ceramic Speed.
Image

Frame: Orca OMR
Wheels: Lightweight Meilenstein Orbermayers - 1.7kgs (inc, tyres & lw skewers).

Now I've not had a chance to weigh the below parts as everything is at the bike shop for now.
Here's a rundown on the build.

Seat: Fizik Antares 00 - 140g
Seat Post: 3T Stylus 0 LTD - 150g
Stem: 3T ARX LTD - 133g
Bars : 3T Ergosum - 180g
Groupset: Sram Red Etap
Brakes: EE Cycleworks -
Bottle Cages: Lightweight Edelhelfer - 18g
Power Meter: Quarq Sram Red - ??
Chain Rings: Rotor Qarbon - ??
Cassette: Rotor Uno - ??
Pedals: Look Keo Blade 2 Ti - ??
Booked in at Fat Creations for a paint removal job.

Last weigh in came in at 6kgs inc. fully built but added the Rotor Uno cassette plus chain rings.

If I had a target weight it would be 5.5kgs but its really expensive all this malarkey.
Any ideas on how I can shed a gram or 2 without busting my wallet anymore

Nice bike!

Did you have to grind the chainring at all to get it to fit with the quarq spider?

I like the fact that you used the Uno cassette, given a 30g advantage over XG-1190 it sees surprusingly little use over here (in fact, this is the first time I see one).

All bolts alreadt swapped for Titanium?
Also the length of the seatpost can save some weight (most of the times for the same prices as a longer model).

But what a nice bike!

always liked the new Orca with the Confidis paint scheme (shame they didn't offer MyO with this template instead)

Even the packaging was a work of art!

It's a very responsive bike and climbs with no effort at all.

Can I save weight with intergrated stem/bars? If so where do I start looking?

the Bontrager XXX is the lightest bar/stem I think (other than bonding boutique items like MFCK+Schmolke or something), it only comes in -6 degrees so from the look of your setup it might be right up your alley. Supposedly around the ~240g range

You certainly can, the posters above suggest a couple of great options. Other obvious places to drop some gram from are seatpost (appropriate length Darimo will be in 75-80g range), Berk Lupina saddle (~94g padded) and Deda Traforato bar tape (~35g with bar plugs).
