Sorry the pic of the built wheel weight didn't come out, so I've fixed that

Excited for you on this build. So what weight do you think she'll come in at when you've assembled it all? Got a final target in mind? Great list of components so far!

Edit: read your 1st post again properly. Sub 5kg sounds easily achievable IMO

Nice mix of components.
Having said that, if I were you I would reconsider the choice of bb bearings. It's highly possible that ebay ceramic bearings apart weight savings, will add more drag compared to good quality steal bearings.
The other two components, practical standpoint can be put into question: cassette and bottle cages.
Cassette, it's rideable but not something I would use for daily riding. Bottle cages, they will break just from looking at them :)

The cassette is for race dah, although the last one I used I got about 2000km out of it easily. Bottle cages have been proven here by loads of people already so I have no worries about using them.

Yes not quite sure about BB option, and bearings to be honest. Will have to speak with LBS.

I've had good luck with the Kogel BB in mine w/ the Hollowgram cranks. CBear is easy to get through stores here too.

Just realizing the balance skills used to get the wheelset weight. Nice work.

A little bit of inspiration for me on the decals, and words to live by - if you know Metallica, you'll know what this is from

I've got as far a F it all ?
Then maybe ending with no regrets

I'm looking forward to seeing this completed and am keen to hear how it compares to your BMC

So close!! Its "F**k it all and f**kíng no regrets!"

It's my favourite line from my favourite Metallica song - Damage, Incorporated - from the album Master Of Puppets

So the Farsports rims I think may have been the very last set of 20mm tubulars sold from them. I had to get them via their Aliexpress site as they weren't on their normal webstore. A few days after I bought them, they disappeared from their Aliexpress site too.

I umed and ahed about which tubulars to put on. I could have gone for Veloflex Records or Vittoria Corsa G Speeds but the roads around me, and also where I would race these, are just too rough for those tires. I could have saved 40gm per tire if I'd gone that way, but I wanted something I wouldn't worry about puncturing easily. Light is no good if you flat quickly in a hilly race.

Currently in the stand. Spaced under the stem will go once fitting done, but will essentially be slammed. Image
