Dang, surprised to hear that! I think it's the most interesting bike I've built for sure. The blue bike was probably the most visually impressive - but I am really liking the industrial feel of the raw carbon and metal on this one.
I absolutely love the look of Ti as a base for a build but then marrying the right components is key and I think you nailed it. The decals with the matte UD carbon bits, wheel depth, geo, EE’s etc are all really perfect on this.

This makes me want to copy you and Ryan and get a Ti bike.

My search-fu is kind of weak, but why don't you like the Lynskey R350? How would you describe the differences between the Lynskey and the T2? I was considering building a R350 up since the framesets are relatively inexpensive for Ti, and I've been wanting to try out Ti for a while now... My "amazing, best carbon frame, do-it all machine" feels kind of 'blah'. Trying to decide if I should search for something like a T2 myself.

I'm 6' and 165lb. I've ridden steel before and would agree with your perception at least (even if I know that feeling is more in my head than anything - I've set KOMs on my Soma over lighter friends on carbon). This bike is NOT like steel I've ridden. I've put in a couple bug uphill sprints on this bike and it didn't yield - can't say the same for steel. Where I live now, most rides seem to be 100+ ft of climbing per mile. I went out after work the other day (a day which was deadlifts and leg press at the gym) and did 13 miles and 1800' of climbing and it never remotely crossed my mind that the bike was a hindrance, even on the 15%+ pitches. There is no delay when I jump on this thing. Even the Lynskey is significantly more responsive than steel I've ridden - and it's more comfortable than any carbon bike I've ridden.

So I get the pro Carbon argument. I think most people would make it. I'm just saying that after 15 carbon bikes, 2 aluminum, 1 steel, and now this, I believe the argument is a lie.

Edit: but don't everyone go out and buy one. The last thing I want is for there to be a new LS build on this forum every 3 days like there is with SS Evo :p

After riding my first Ti bike (Firefly #419) for the last two weeks, I now see what you were talking about! This bike rips like nothing I've ever ridden. It has the snap of a carbon bike and plush ride of steel x100 on super boost. Ti just mutes the road and it's a trip feeling this for the first time. I'm running 27mm Vlaanderen tires and they add to the plush ride of this Ti bike. I have 1" chainstays, PF30 and 44mm HT on my Firefly. I'm sold on Ti. I tossed on the Schmolke 30 TLO wheels laced to Tune 45 / Tune 150 hubs. BUTTER!!

Beautiful steed, I've been biding my time for a second-hand Litespeed in the correct size.
I need titanium after the last three years rattling about on a 2013 Scott Addict, whether it be traversing crusty UK flats or bombing squirly hills at 40mph+. My '90s steel Gazelle is more fun to ride, sad to say.

Lynskey and VN just aren't.... cool enough...
