Hi guys,
Not really an attempt for the lightest bike award but more best looking bike on the block award.
The plan is to make something good looking and reasonably light out of this.
Frame with bottom part of headset and bearings, seat tube, hangers and all in size 57 came in at 1500 grams.
Some temporary components on at the moment, but the Mavic R-SYS clincher wheels will probably get to stay.
Claimed weight of the wheels are 1295 grams. mine came in somewhat heavier at 1332 grams.
Front wheel:
Rear:
The Vittoria Corsas are 253 grams each, and the old tubes i had laying around where a whopping 120 grams each... those will have to go in the spare parts bin.
Will post list of weights when completed
Cheers!

Nice one!
The weight of the frame is more than fine.
What's the actual weight of the saddle btw?

Thanks!
Kgt, the weight is 143 grams, but neither my eyes nor my ass could stand it so it is binned for now.
This AX-Lightness Leaf II Plus is much nicer:
Also some titanium quick releases from the bay:

Fork is a little porky, weight including spacers and top cap:
Plan was to install a complete Dura Ace 9000 groupset that I already had purchased, but i found this crankset on ebay and went that way instead, 177,5mm crankarms:
It's a little lighter then the DA9000 crank in 175mm that I have which was 639 grams, and the Campagnolo bearing cups are 45 grams compared to DA:s 70 grams.

Those are some looooong cranks, are you worried about pedal strike in corners?
Not yet, maybe I should be
Encountered a real problem, the Super Record brake pivot arm touches on top of the rear tire before the pads even make contact with the rim. Any ideas? It seems like the whole caliper is sitting a bit low. Tried mounting the Dura Ace 9000 brakes and there were lots of clearance even though the tires are 25mm.

Amazing how much the price differs between the Speedplay Zero models...
Cro-Moly version, $120:
Steel version, almost twice the price of Cro-Moly version and only 15 grams saved:
And the DIY version, $20 titanium axle of the bay and $120 Speedplay Cro-Moly:
Lets see if it can withstand my 100kg weight

Well,
Put the bike together and was pretty pleased with the weight considering there are no crazy exotic parts on it (wouldn't mind it though )
There are still a few things to do with regards to weight, as changing to lighter tubes and changing the saddle to the AX-Lightness. Also for looks switching the pedals to the black ones I have. I am also considering cutting the stem the last 1,5 cm and positioning the levers a little more horizontal. Still waiting for a Uno 12cm stem. The FSK 10cm will have to do for now. Have a pair of black QR:s without the levers so there are some small changes to come.

Got some time on my hands so I:
Cut the stem, maybe a couple of grams saved
Switched to black pedals
Mounted titanium bolts on the stem, 12 grams saved
Switched to the AX-Lightness saddle, 97 grams saved
Put on Michelin Aircomp Ultra light tubes, 10 grams saved

These $2 Ebay scales don't seem that exact you have to measure a couple of times and see what you get, most of the time you get a different weight every time. Well, it weights something like this:
