^ Bromptons are very thickly painted, and they also offer a "raw lacquer" finish, which is still painted but just uses a powder coat with no pigment

Wow I was a fan of the clear/varnish approach but after seeing that paint... definitely paint is better.

Wow; nice. Was about to post, riding in the clearcoat bandwagon, but I just saw the paint pic. It came out very nice!

Good stuff; can't wait to see it built up.

Just gotten the frame, fork and stem earlier, will be posting additional pictures hopefully soon.
Unfortunately the complete build will be delayed indefinitely as I will be leaving Japan within the next two weeks.
