I was going to buy a SRAM PC89R hollow pin also, but xxlight-bikes did not have em in stock anymore so he recommended a KMC X9 and so I looked at the KMC site and found the gold series so asked if he could make it a X9 SL gold

i have got Crank Brother SL pedals. Good quality, and only 271gr. Triple Ti are very expensive :? Even if it is gold

my future purchase is Michelin C4 latex tubes. I have got heavy tubes, 203gr x2 :?

What do you think about Explorer SS and Twister SS tires ?

bye :D

I will be running Twister SS tyres but atm I don't know how well they will perform. I just wait and see how it will work for me.

My stock tubes where also in the 200g range each. also got Conti supersonic tubes in it. I might make it a tubeless wheelset but I will first see how the current setup will perform and how it resist punctures.

BTW does anyone know a manufacturer that makes Ti or Alu brake studs for my Scott frame?
A while ago I bought a set of Ti studs and the Diameter was correct but the tread angle was wrong so they did not fit.
Extralites won't fit eighter cause the Diameter is to small?

so anyone have a scott with changed studs?

Buy Schwalbe XX-light instead of SS. SS tend to get flat in some days. My Schwalbe XX is the best tubes I ever used. Only 104-109 gr.

My bike has finally been finished and I did my first trip on it 50km/30 miles.

I forgot to give the final picture so here goes:

some close ups for those who are interested:

The bike currently weights 8.818 Kg.

I have to do some final bolt tuning on the stem and the seatpost cause they are still stock steel bolts
And I am still looking to lighten my XTR crankset abit, and also make it abit more special.
I want some silver colored chainrings but wich?? I have no clue at the moment.

I also will put in extralite chainring bolts for the looks, doubt I will save any real weight there.

So I expect it to go under the 8.8 Kg without much problem.

here is a exel file I made a screenshot together with all the other pics of my bike and the way it has changed.
The part list is the 10th picture.

btw after the first ride when I got home I got my first flat... have no Idea how yet. :?

The stem is a Thomson Elite at 110mm.

I almost had the stem and the post from the start, they where the first thing I bought for the bike because I liked the looks of them.
The are rather solid and they are not the lightest, although the post isn't really heavy at 210g but there are a few lighter options.
The stem is 201g. so it is a heavy stem.

I like the looks of them, so unless I find a light replacement that is also in silver (extralite only makes the roadstem in silver)
and I maybe buy a Masterpiece seatpost, but have to check if it will fit cause they don't have a 26.8x330 masterpiece.

ooh I forgot... thanks for the comments guys

Syntace has a polished version of the F99 it would match your frame very well!!

you should get a Gold King, it's a must have

looks nice in the sun mate!

I am going to upgrade my bike also, I ordered some stuff:

- Extralite Ultrastem UL2 100mm
- Extralite The Post UL2 in 26.8mm
- Extralite Extrabolts 15 (2 pulleywheels)
- Extralite Extrabolt 4 for my V-Brakes to shave of abit of extra weight of my by XTR brakes.

What I done but haven't showed yet:

- (lowered the weight of the V-Brakes already abit with a Ti bolt set for the pad holders)
- Full carbon short cage for my XTR rear mech. my XTR M960 rear mech now weights 185g. hopefully I get it down to around 174g with the new pulleys

As soon as it is done I will post some new pics.

BTW if someone else got a Scott Pro Racing don't hesatate to post it
