I'v wanted a Z5 for the longest time but i never was able to find one in my price range or without a extended headtube. After a LONG time of searching on the Bay and forums without much luck, TonyTourist hooked me up with his old SLi after he upgraded. Although my build isn't quite as balleurific as his, i'm super stoked. Functionality was my first priority,as this will be my only road bike i plan to race/train on. Nevertheless, weight was taken into consideration when selecting the parts, surprisingly, putting it under 6.3kg/14lbs. Some tweaks and adjustments are still to come but this is more or less the finished product.

Did you weigh the fork at 287g? That's a lot lighter than the fork on my Z5, I'm jealous!

Yup ! It's cut down pretty much all the way on a Sz.M with a regular headtube. (Trimmed a bit)

It's a Z5 SLI, so it has the lighter Enve 1.0 fork IIRC.

That frame looks so much better with no gumwalls!

Shut your mouth and get a new scale @Imaqueen20 !
What is this:

I'll deal with the gum walls when the tires are some of the lightest decent riding tires you can get

Very nice. I wanted a Z5SLi but I got a deal on a ESX. Same carbon layup and geometry, so I went for it.

I tuned it by taking out the inner sleeve and noise reduction rings. I regret it as it shifts poorly :? :?

Pardon my ignorance, but has the poor shifting something to do with your tuning? Any details on what you exactly did?

Probably, but it doesn't shift that bad. It just doesn't shift as well compared to a Shimano cassette. Not too big a deal but i would not tune it again when i get a new one.
