Well from the feedback I've got so far, this may not be in everyone's taste, and maybe only mine... but it's a dream build for me. Did all the work myself except the wheels; got started on those but had a real wheel builder do most of the work on them. Compared to my old Allez this one feels like a rocket.

Gold chain didn't look how I thought it would, so it'll be changed eventually... or the cables, not sure. I really like the Jagwire Links kits despite the increased difficulty of installing them, but they don't flow in the same way as normal cables.

It's really nice and subtle for a stars and stripes build. It's easy to go over the top on "flag" builds in general not just star and stripes.

I like it

Dump the cables and chain and that is a near perfect bike!

Quite like the gold and in the end you need to like it man :)

The gold is just not that nice as the silver color crank doesn't match to any of the color but yeah... Enjoy your new machine man :)

Oh, when the Contis are done try it with some gumwall tires like Corsas, I think they will look awesome with the gold...

Ok, that's nice. Great fork. Black saddle and tape is probably the right way to go, too.

It's clearly got potential, if it were mine I'd ditch the gold cables, crank (replace it with the new eTap sram red or if you want to keep it shimano the new black dura ace) but I'd keep the gold chain. I think a gold chain with a black crankset goes well but looks odd with silver, then I think it'd look a lot nicer.

Just the cables that don't work for me.
Gold chains lose their colour pretty quickly so I'd keep that.

Love it! I have a 2016 Gold Allez pimped out similar to yours with Dura Ace 9150 and Zipp 404 NSW's. The damn thing gets so much attention!

The gold cables clash and the chain and cable housing aren't even the same colour. and the front brake housing looks a bit short.

It’s a 61, I’m 6’3”

Doesn’t have the gold chain anymore. I’ll update this week, as it’s getting a slight overhaul
