Looks fantastic, I love the colors. Do you have any full on classic side-shots of the whole bike?

EDIT: A couple photos weren't loading but I see the full bike now, thanks

Thank you very much! I am a huge fan of colorful frames, and this site has quite a few good examples of such. I am not a fan of the matte black/minimal logo/murdered out looks that have been so popular and prevalent over the last five years or so. Fine road bikes in my opinion should be romantic and nicely painted. Like wanting to customize bikes when we were kids!

Thanks! I will say something novel like "stiff and compliant"! lol. It is a racy/responsive feeling frame. I know a lot of purists don't like sloping top tubes, but they enable a good amount of exposed seatpost, and with 27.2 carbon, it's pretty comfy. Bike descends well and is quick to respond to inputs. Not dead or muted feeling as some frames are. A bit twitchy.

Coloured sidewalls on the tyres could be a nice finishing touch for this build - am thinking of the light/electric blue type colour that Michelin do on the Pro 3/4

really? what a surprise!!!!

Seriously: Nice frame, despite the daring paintjob, build looks absolutely consistent. Well done!

Wow, I really like it. The paint combo is a bit daring, but it works very well! I'm getting tired of "stealth everything"

+1
Exactly my thought too, full black bikes are so boring! Imo anything less colourfull than, say, RyanH's supersix just doesn't look exciting or fun enough :smartass:

5 months? Within that time the 2017 OMR came out, right? Ouch!

Very soon after I received my frame, yes. I ordered it the first week of February 2016, and received it Late July. The camo'd 2017 was seen towards the end of the Vuelta that year. Orbea had just started ramping up the "My O" program when I ordered mine and were having tons of scheduling and logistical problems with only two full-time painters.......(or so I was told.) Could be that they just blew it off as is common in the bike industry it seems. Looking back, the wait wasn't that bad. Gave me a lot of time to source the build.

I've been considering getting the 2017 Orca OMR for some time now (have all the parts ready to go already). Kind of a bummer that you can't have the Orbea decal on the downtube on the side like the Cofidis one unless you buy the LtD or whatever but then you can't customize the color.. would have loved to get it in plain white with a black side decals. If it's going to take five months then I might as well see if I can get the standard white/black one..

I don't think the weight is nearly that long anymore. They are up to speed I believe, as you can now "My O" every bike they have in the top of the line frame..........Alma, Occam, Rallon, etc.......
