So this was a project which turned up becoming something a little more meaningful. The good people of Blacksmith Cycles & Festka came up with the very apt tag "don't count the days, make the days count" which will serve as my personal reminder.

In Feb 2017, I was diagnosed with a myasthenia gravis & thymoma - a tumour was sandwiched between my heart & lung. It was 12cm in diameter & 1.04kg. It was so large it had compressed the right chamber of my heart to about only approximately 20% function. It was a nasty shock as I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. Back in the glory days, ex-representative of my country in Swimming, NCAA division 1 swimmer, Water & Coffee, triathlons & marathons, no smoking, watch what I eat, etc...

Emergency surgery was required and thank God the alien was successfully removed fully encapsulated through thoracic surgery despite a few bags blood transfusions required due to the inability to clot, it was all in all a smooth operation.

3 months away from my children, 15 days in the hospital, 3 days in the ICU and after months of rehab (learning how to use my lungs again and upper body) we are back on track.

The kind and patient folk from Blacksmith, Festka & Berk really pulled this together and all credit to them especially Mike from Blacksmith Cycles who had patience like Buddha with me.

"Don't count the days, make the days count"
Stay tuned..hope you guys enjoy this journey too

And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.

Here's mine. I've been told, painting will happen in a few weeks. Since this is WW, Black would be best but now I'm having 2nd thoughts and might want a different color.

second for "don't paint"
perhaps a clear with a tint would look nice, that weave is much to beautiful to cover up
