Hello everybody, finally My old horse (Trek Madone 2012) is retired, a buddy sale me his Cervelo r5 2014 frame, and I did the assembly.
Nothing exceptional, Sram red 22 for shifters, crank, and derailleurs, TRP brakes, some extralite parts (crankset, stem, skewers...) 3T carbon bar, speedplay tuned pedals, a Chinese seat post (106g), a classic slr saddle, and homemade tubulars carbon wheels.

Final weight : 5,790kg for the moment, not top lightweight. Soon I will receive another pair of wheels for mountain, and if my ass accept it, a new saddle under 90g...
I ride it for 3 months, and I'm very happy with it, max distance 155km for the moment, it is very comfortable, soon I will try mountain in the Alpes...ImageImageImageImageImage

Looks very aggressive and fast.

I like the red bits and Extralite parts.

Nice bike from what must be a good friend!

Now ready for mountains this week end, new wheels received, 1030g and total bike weight 5,610kg. It will help in Joux plane, and others Image

What are the new wheels? Fantastic bike! Consider tilting the seat downward.

For wheels, Chinese components, Bitex hubs f10/r9, 257g for the pair, CN 424 spokes, and Chinese tubulars rims, 24/38 mm high, 20,5/23mm width, 290/330g.
French assembly near my home, in a local bike shop.

For my saddle I think it's an effect, because I use to adjust it horizontally. :beerchug:

That stem has the potential to crush the top of the steerer. Use a spacer above it.

Yes you are right, I plan to do it, but after my days in mountains, I fear that a modification before will be not good for my back...
But sure I will try

I don't think that's an issue with the cervelo fork, assuming it's got the glue in aluminum insert. That provides additional reinforcement so I wouldn't worry about crushing it.
