This is my first weight weenie build! And my first post on this forum. I have yet to document a few parts, but I wanted to at least list out what I've got so far.

This build started as a stock 2011 Scott Cr1 Pro (repaired carbon frame). Everything except the wheels have been replaced. My goal is to build a complete sub-6kg bike for $3000 (Just don’t have the money yet to throw at a $10k+ bike). I’m currently sitting at $2900 spent. If I factor in the cost recouped from selling off the parts I replaced, I’m at $2400 out of pocket. I’ve focused on upgrades that would offer the most weight savings for the money spent. I have several more options to shave grams, but I’m not in a rush and will upgrade when the right product and price comes along. Replacing the wheels would be the next thing, but for now the Elites are my peace of mind set. I will be enjoying this bike immensely and then commence additional upgrades in the winter.
