Becoming an Old Man : Evo sub 6kg build

put in an order with bike24 last night to finish off the build only to later be informed they didn't have the bar and brakes I wanted with no time table for availability.

I had to make some changes to the plan. I'll be holding onto some dough for now and ending up around 6.25kg.

Status:
-cheap carbon 4za handlebar ordered from merlin => 195g for $73
-powertap being swapped in for the rear hub on my current training wheelset
-giant saddle swapped out for already owned s-works power @ 160g
-gold YBN chain ordered
-keeping old force rails and brakes. new alloy jockey wheels ordered
-sram powerglide rings sourced for now => $43 for the set should come in around 95g + 40g
-hylix seatpost (for oval rails) came in at 155g for 400mm, cut off 100mm today down to 119g for $77

So long story short everything is ordered. 6.25kg bike coming soon...sub 6 might take a month or two I don't want to start buying stuff I don't want just to hit the arbitrary goal weight right now.

6.2kg as pictured, I had it at 5.9 with 1250g clinchers and 23mm GP4000's. I've just turned 41, had 2 years off and spinal fusion and I no longer plan on racing. Can't get a steel frame out of my head but don't want to go over 7kg if poss.
I've only ridden the bike once so haven't really established "the bond" with the bike yet.
It's a tight squeeze with 25mm tyres, these listed 25mm Vittorias measure 26.8mm and get a little rub so I'm putting 23mm tyres and some 1400g clinchers on.

The tire clearance is definitely rough. I don't even feel comfortable using my race wheels on this frame (clx64s) because of how little clearance there is between the rim and chainstay. If your desire for steel is comfort it's understandable. If you have the option go tubeless first and drop 5-10 psi before going for a whole new rig.

They're the new AR24 Evo's, I'm biased as I work at cycledivision but I think they're insane value. 1441g out of the box. We have two ex pro's at work and they're both astounded by the performance. The build quality on all our wheels is great. They're assembled by a super reliable factory in Taiwan. Drop me a message if you need anything in the future.
Also after checking steel options going to stick with the Supersix. Think I'd be silly to move it on without even getting to know it first.

The tire clearance issues was the only reason I sold this frame when I owned it. The brake bridge is also pretty low so if you run Shimano brakes they won't clear that either.
