Not sure about the frame weight yet. Will weigh it either tonight or tomorrow. She isn't going to be a WW but she was never meant for that.

I painted the shoes myself. A little patchy but they'll do the job.

Built her up on Saturday.

The last photo doesn't really show off her colours too well. I had hoped that last night's sunset gave me some golden rays, but alas, it was overcast and grey :(

Looks great!

How is the ride? And what wheels are those if you don't mind me asking?

Absolutely Stunning. The gold really sets it off nicely. That's a bike forever. But what's the final weight. !!

Perfect!

Did you weight the frame alone?

Looks like Enve 2.2 tubular.

Absolutely beautiful, as you say the attention to detail is insane - a rolling piece of art.

Would you mind sharing the original photo of the mountains? It would be interesting to see how it's been interpreted onto the frame.

Love this pic. Matching socks with you and (I presume) your other is perfect.
Nice build.

Thanks guys. She rides beautifully. So smooth. I was very surprised at how well she rode. I was thinking that there wouldn't be any noticeable difference between my Canyon CF SLX and the Field, but the difference is very noticeable, especially when descending. It's like riding on a road lined with velvet ;)

Final weight with everything on (pedals, Garmin mount and sensor, bottle cages etc) was a smidge over 8kg which I'm happy with. Might get a Berk saddle in the future which will drop her under 8kg.

Yes, the wheels are Enve 2.2 laced to CK hubs.

The design was based on quite a few mountain photos , as things like the gold ridgelines running down the top of the top tube had to be pretty straight lines. I'll see if I can dig out some photos.

Oh, and the other pair of feet in the photo aren't those of my other half. They are my cycling mate's feet. He came over to help me do the build.

Knew there was a Ridge Supply connection. Haha. (mentioned in thread?)

Needs a pair of Arundel Mandibles in my opinion - those cages don't match anything on the bike.

Lovely looking machine otherwise, though.

Thats gorgeous. But that etap RD must be the ugliest bit of kit to ever grace a bike.

I like this bike a lot, and think the king cage look great. I suppose if you wanted a really light bike you wouldn't have bought a steel frame :D

But did you weigh the frame and fork separately?

I have no connection to Ridge Supply unfortunately. Wish I had , then I might get some free socks ;). My mate is wearing the ridge supply socks. I'm just wearing some cheapo Uniqlo ones.

I realise that some may not like the King cages but I do like them. They hold a bottle as well as an arundel too ;)

Can you believe it, we were halfway through the build when we realised that we hadn't weighed the frame and fork separately. We weren't in the mood to take everything off :(
