-setting up 6800 FD without any barrel adjuster sucks. wouldve made it a lot easier to adjust cable tension. trial-and-error of having to press on the lever while tensioning cable to get it just right. but once it was right, works like a damn charm. i just dread having to readjust it after the breaking-in period.

-goddang ferrules like to disappear into a blackhole.

only 1 issue left is there is a slight marble-rattling sound from the bottom of the bike on forward pedal strokes???? seems to be at all phases of the stroke. doesnt sound when pedalling backwards. not sure what this is all about

Did you manage to solve the marble rattling issue? Any post-honeymoon feedback on the frame?

Congrats on the new bike and hat tip to your attitude towards troubleshooting!

Strong aesthetic appeal throughout. Saddle and post look sharp. Chunky stem is good and so is the great Ultegra crank.

Thinking about getting this frameset, any more impressions half a year in?

I apologize for the necro but given the last question—I’m just over 13,000 km on this frame and I love it. I ordered after reading this thread. Wanted to match color but gave a color that is more of blue/battleship grey. I get compliments on the paint quality. Built with mainly Force 22 and was about 7kg. With ETap I’m now at 7.4kg. No issues with cable stops when mechanical. Only issue I had was a misaligned FD braze-on hanger. No rattles. It’s been a super fun bike all-around.
