So after using this frame for a few seasons in South Africa as my only bike (racing and training) I decided to retire it. It hung in the garage for a few months and got no use and while I was trying to sell it, it didn't garner any real interest and so I decided to rebuild it as my winter training bike. The build will not be particularly flashy, it wont be a real WW, but I think with what I have planned it will be a funky fun build. The frame will be hydro dipped to give it a fresh look. Im not a fan of (nor do I dislike them) Stealth builds, so I've gone for a very loud dip pattern

The hydrodip pattern that will be put on the bike.

The build will consist of the following:
Shimano 105 5800 (Shifters, mechs)
Dura Ace 7800 crank
Deda Stem
3T Ergosum Compact carbon bars
Easton Seatpost
Fizik Aliante (White/Celeste)
Cinelli Pink Bartape
Gold Cannondale decals will be applied to the finished frame
Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels

Some parts have started arriving.

Pink cable housing

Celeste hoods for my shifters. Undecided if I will eventually use them however.

With a paint (dip) scheme like this, you might as well commit and go all in.
Use those cable housing and hoods. Do it.
Fizik can probably configure something to match (including the pink) on the saddle end of the build.

I am fairly committed. I will be wrapping the bars in pink cinelli tape and probably going with a celeste/black Arione R3 saddle.

Having recently become a new dad, this build has slowed down greatly, but I recently added a couple new bits, changed the hoods and the new saddle arrived. Really excited to getting this back on track shortly.

After fitting the hoods and getting the saddle, I have decided that white bar tape will be used and not pink as I think it will just flow better than pink. More pics soon! :D
