What are you thinking about the brakes? I note it comes with Dura-ace brakes. I wonder how well this will work

The brakes will work excellent, but why are you wondering?

Erm, it's dura ace, and it's direct mount. Why would you doubt the braking?

I wonder as the lever throw for Sram is different than that for Shimano. Sram levers are designed for Sram brakes and so on.

I'm sure it'll work - but it may not work as well as Sram Red brakes will work with Sram levers. I see that katusha use them with Sram groupsets so it mustn't be a problem!

It does work just as well with the Shimano direct mount brakes as with sram red brakes.

Been running a Sram Red22 groupset with Shimano Dura Ace direct mount brakes on my Fuji Transonic SL. Worked like a charm. The braking was super responsive and powerful. Especially compared to the Sram Red brakes i feel like Sram but their focus on making their brakes lighter and not more powerful.

Wonderful - thank you for this Monte. It was the only slight reservation I had about this purchase. I am very glad to hear this.

Can't wait to receive the frame some time next week.

Great frame, I also cracked on the Canyon outlet and got the same frameset(size L) I'm planing to build it with a Di2 groupset but I can't find the hole for the front derailleur????
Has yours one ?
Thanks, for your help

PD:On the Canyon website I can't see any hole(just the one on the plastic under the BB)

@guibarho It's under the derailleur mount on the frame. Look on the side facing rearwards - it has a small grommet/outlet.

Hi folks!
After long waiting the eTap groupset arrived on the 24th december and over the christmas days I could finish the build up to 98%

Build list
Frame: Canyon Aeroad Cf Slx Size S
Groupset: Sram eTap
Brakes: Shimaon Dura Ace BR-9010 Direct Mount
Saddle: Selle Italia XP
Chain: KMC X11 SL DLC black/red
Wheelset: DT Swiss RRC 46 C Dicut
Pedals: Look Kéo Easy
Gearing: 52/36 & 11-18
Weight as pictured 6,86kg

Things that will be done in the next few days:
- Changing saddle to Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio -55g
- Cutting the steerer tube -??g
- Adding 2x Zipp Alumina bottle cages +54g
- Wrapping bar with bar tape +30-40g
- Changing pedals to Garmin Vector 2S +60g

Final weight should be around 6,9-6,95kg...
I think that's not bad for this setup with those relatively heavy training wheels.

Damn, that's a nice frame. The wheel stickers are a bit too busy for my taste though.

Yep the DZero is a bit heavier than the normal crank, and the non-drive-side is also 30g heavier...
Will post tomorrow a picture of the complete bike with racing wheels on

No reason you shouldn't be able to use the original left arm with the Quarq.
