Love to see a breakdown of parts if you could! Looks fast and quality built.

Looks ace. Is it just the picture or is the head angle super slack? Stable for fast descents I guess!

Of course! I'll post up a full parts list with the weights I have once I finish up the build and take better pictures of it.

I'm guessing it's just the picture, it has a 72° head tube angle and a 73.5° seat tube angle. Those numbers seem pretty normal to me. I have not read into geometry angles too much, so correct me if I'm wrong.

72 is pretty normal for a smaller sized bike, guessing yours is a size S? If it's a size S I'd argue it is already quite steep, not shallow. The shorter wheelbase/front center keeps the handling fairly lively.
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it :)

Disclosure: I'm sponsored by Velocite, but I do give my honest opinion about them (I'm endorsed to race their bikes, not say nice things about them)

Well it's been a minute since I've posted anything about this bike for a while, but here is my race bike for this season and seasons to come.

There are many places where I can save weight, (pedals, bars, brakes, tubies :noidea: ) but I want to keep a solid race ready build. Hopefully eventually I'll be able to bring it below 6.8kg. Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated.

Strong work!

I've been trying to pick up one of these frames second hand in small but they are like hen's teeth in the UK!

Looks cool!

Well, you have almost 200g savings if you go for a pair of tuned Speedplays.

Latex tubes, carbon DA pedals, lightweight cables and housing are easy and cheaper options to save some grams.

Fasi cable housing, Barbieri brake pad holders, Michelle power comp tyers, KMC X11SL Chain, Stans rim tape - all "cheap" but very good quality upgrades that should save you 100-150g in weight and about £100

Great looking TCR by the way,

I've thought about all these things and carbon DA pedals are probably my next purchase, but they will probably go on my EVO and my carbon 105 pedals will go on this bike.
I don't particularly want to take the risk of running latex tubes in carbon clinchers, but maybe ill get lighter butyl tubes next time.
ChrisTalks wrote:Fasi cable housing... ...Stans rim tape ...

These rims already have stans rim tape, and the wheel set weights included it.
Most of my riding throughout the year is in the PNW and rain is pretty frequent, so I use regular housing on all my bikes and replace it whenever needed.

Does anyone have any recommendations for light weight cables and housing that can also take some weather?

Picked up a cheap set of KCNC CB1s but haven't decided if I am going to use them or sell them yet.
They would save over 100g versus the TRPs I currently have, but I don't know how good the stopping power will be.
If anyone has any experience with these, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Subscribed!

I have a M/L TCR SLR build - the stealthy factory black version supplied to me as a warranty replacement. I think it may be extremely rare in the UK.
My build was 7.5kg

Great bike!
