Don't really have anything to compare it to since comparing it to a carbon seatpost on my old carbon Merckx would be apples and oranges. I think saddle choice makes the biggest difference. The stripped SLR is on the hard side, whereas the old Selle Flite full carbon saddle that I had was very flexy and absorbed all but the largest road bumps.

Here's my new custom Form Prevail 29er (20.4 lbs without the water bottles) at the top of the 401 trail in Crested Butte.
