The bars kept slipping with the standard Thomson stem bolts which rounded even when torqued to the correct spec which is why they were so low! I'm really enjoying the bike though, since I first spoke to Justin about having the bike built the whole experience has been great. Nearly 1000 miles of riding on the bike already and I've enjoyed every single mile.

That's exactly the same way I've felt, and just about hit 1000miles with mine too. I wish'd the frame was a little lighter, but other than that it's been superb.
That sucks about the thompson, I was very close to going for the same thompson stem but was put off with a few reviews saying similar things. Have you tried carbon paste to give it a little more friction? May stop it slipping.

Normally Thomson has no problems concerning matching accuracy.
The problem must be your bar.

I went with Blackburn Swerve cages, very similar to King Ti.

Built up as a winter bike. Lynsky Sportive. Paired with a Columbus fel fork, ultegra & various bits n bobs!
Frame 1640g so fairly lardy. Fork 328g cut. Just swapped most parts over from existing winter bike.
Fitted 30mm mudguards, 25mm Grand Prix on 24mm rim on rear & 24mm Grand Prix on 24mm rim on front.
