With intentions of doing the major stage races next year, it was time to nut up and get a TT bike. These things are porky. 7.9kg at the moment. May go 1x. If I don't hate this thing, I'll work on getting the weight down to the 6.X range.

Actually with a full disk wheel that weight is not bad at all. I lightened my bike up using a Dash Tri 7 saddle with Tririg Handlebar, extensions, and front brake. I also threw on a Fibrelyte Aero chainring. You will fly on your new TT rig

How much did the TriRig handlebar and extensions weigh? Supposedly the Corsairs are 585g which includes the brake levers. If I go 1x, the front chainring will be a single speed FibreLyte.

The Tririg Alpha Classic bar with extensions was 565 grams. The 3T Pro brake levers I use are 56 grams so your set up is lighter

I dig the Alpha bars due to the range of adjustments. You can go high, low, wide,narrow, far, or close. The only thing missing is tilt.

Around December I was in a cycling slump and sold off the power meters and the TT bike. Further contributing to that decision was our shrinking road race calendar in So Cal. It's a lot of work, dedication and suffering for like 3 road races or lots of Fridays off spent driving 8 hours to NorCal to race Saturday and then drive all the way back.

At the moment, I'm thoroughly enjoying not having a cycling computer or knowing power data. I no longer look at my stem. I just go out, ride and enjoy it for what it is.

So yeah, that's why this build didn't get any updates.
