thanks boys! still waiting for some missing parts to complete the build.

kkibler, turned off the other lights to hide the background clutter. lol!

Fluoro7- factor 001> baden cooke comes in with rob gitelis- millar becomes part of test team> AG2R will ride factor in 2017 is the summary.

KCookie- am actually using extralite rings, not stronglight. my go-to choice for light aluminum rings. as for the red on the crankarms, topcoat is toooo thick to take out. have to take debadge the arms to be able to do that. still thinking how to make the turquoise and red work together.

Yes, sorry about that I meant extralite, just ordered some.
The turquoise is awesome, could you not paint over the red to match the frame. !!

as per reply above, FSA cranks have very thick clear coat so red paint under hard to isolate unless you scrape most of the exposed topcoat off and refinish again. which im not in the mood to do this time as the paint is perfectly good and shiny.
painting above the clear is not an option for me.

You can get plotter's vinyl on ebay in a multitude of colors. Just take an exacto knife and cut out the appropriate outline and apply. I'd recommend buying some black while you're at it so you can at worst go stealth it the turquoise doesn't match.

@ryanH, temporary coverings not my type. if i have to do away with the red bits, they have to be painted over as my reply above. thanks for the suggestion though.

always a fan of tuning low-budget stems, bars and seatposts on my builds since before.

Interesting choice to add red colour. Not sure about it but really want to see the result.

Can you share details of the stem clamp plates, like where you get them from and how much they weigh as a pair?

You got arrested & put in a police van for NOT having a bell, are you serious!!!!!

There's easier ways to get a lift in HK, mate! Like "GoGoVan" haha ........

Hope it all work out fine in the end, like you new bike by the way, more photos please!

@KCookie- awaiting summons to appear in court, plead and pay fine.
@Look565w- serious! stupid as the rule is, need a warning device if on the road (bells for bikes) as you are considered a vehicle. they had to put me in a van since i was already illegal on the road. here they were when they checked my ID and took my details.
i-beam was made by a friend, very convenient to keep in space-deprived HK.

For feck sake, that's seriously stupid indeed!

Maybe the police should carry bells with them, so when they stop bell-less cyclist - sell them one & can avoid wasting their own valuable police time taking them to the police station :-)

Better luck next time!

But if you do need a bell, how about one of those new Knog ones - "oi" bell?

Cheers
