Yes, bought a brand new FFWD wheelset very cheap to put on one of my other bikes, but swapped it for the AX Lightness wheelset. So have payed almost nothing for the AX Lightness wheelset :)

Don't know the exact weight before the bike is finished, but I think the bike weighs 5,5kg as seen. But that's just an estimate :)

looks great, i absolutely love those fm-066-frames.
would have purchased one from planet-x by myself (their offers sometimes are ridiculously cheap), but they dont have it in my size (52).

i must say, your bike is not the typical winterbike, but if the conditions are not to bad, why not.

Thank you :)
I didn't know that the frame was a FM-066, because PX sell it like its their own design, but I don't mind cause the FM-066 frames have been around for a while and got some good reviews.

Got this frame from a lad here in Denmark, but PX just had a big sale where they were selling the frame in any sizes for a ridicules price.

I know, but here in Denmark we gets some beautiful weather sometimes during the winter months were I'm planing to use the bike(we are using alot of salt on the roads so will not be using my summer bikes)

Just finished my budget weenie. I think I could loose 100g by cutting the seatpost (its 410mm long), by slaming the stem, buy some light (and cheap) cnc brakes, and an Extralite stem.

The weight:

Without pedals: 5,885kg

With my Tririg Mercury pedals: 5,980kg

With my everyday pedals(look keo blade carbon 230g): 6,115kg

Your properly right but I don't mind. The FM-066 have been around for awhile and got alot of good reviews :) I think that 5,8kg in size 56 is alright :D
While it was fun to build I have decided to sell the bike because I already got two winterbikes :D

So as a "budget build," can I ask what you're selling price is?
More weight than weenie.

I'm fascinated by the third dimension to WW which seems to be at the periphery, but not often mentioned - $$$. More importantly, budgeting $$$. I like threads like these to see how I (as a young father of two with only one income, a mortgage, and other real life priorities according to my missus) might be able to learn and copy from others. 2700 for sub-6 isn't bad at all. I guess it's all relative.

Remember - selling price is not the same as building price :) Yes the bike is being sold at the price of 2600€ but the price is that high so i got some room to play with when people trying to haggle the price :)
