That combination is very appealing from a weight perspective. If I did it though I'd be looking for 172.5mm How's the front shifting with the RC2 rings?

While I am very much a fan of the SpiderRing aesthetics, seeing periodic reports of cracking of the SiSL2 does give me a bit of pause about going in that direction.

Shifts damn good in my opinion, but I do baby all my downshifts. eTap should make it easier cause it automatically babys all downshifts.

you know... thats a pretty nice build. Kudos on the great weight with real world components. I'm impressed the forks are only 250g!

You like the ride? Are mavic making good wheels these days? :P

I have a pair of Zipp 202 firecrests and actually prefer the new Cosmics to the 202s. The biggest plus for the Cosmics being the braking. It is a dramatic improvement over the firecrest brake tracks.

I just wish the Cosmics were a little lighter straight from Mavic. The skewers, tubes, and rim strips Mavic supplies are surprisingly heavy (also easily changed).

How do you like the wheels? If you have ridden the previous version (CC40) how do they compare?

dudemanppl: Thanks for the crank/chainring feedback. I ordered a Red BB30 172.5mm crank and a set of RC2 chainrings. They should be here mid-week.

That fork is v light. I weighted my old super 6 hi mod (pre evo) fork and it is 340g.

My 2014 evo hm fork (same frame size 52) is around 300 grams, I'd like to upgrade it with this new fork, how much could it cost?

Noticed you have fitted a wheels manufacturing BB - did you have issues with creaking before this?

No creaking, just a fair amount of drag. I got the wheel mfg BB with ceramic bearings. Between the better bearings and the improved alignment there is a lot less drag.
