Hey Everybody,

I've been following the forum for a while, but this is my first real post. I picked up a 2008 Lemond Victoire about 3 years ago. I swapped out the cockpit and wheels for Ritchey WCS carbon and some Kysyrium SLR tubulars.

Weight as it stands is 6.87 Kg.

Build List

2008 Lemond Victoire Triomphe Ultimate - 895g
Bontrager XXX fork - 420g
R-Sys SLR Tubulars w/ Veloflex Carbons (Branded as Mavics)
Ritchey WCS Seatpost (27.2 x 350) - 165g
Ritchey WCS Stem (100mm) - 115g
Ritchey WCS Evoc Curve (42cm) - 220g
Fizik Antares 00 - 140g
Headset - Cane Creek IS2 - 60g
seatpost clamp Bontrager - 22g
Bottle Cages Blackburn Slick - 2 x 23g
Crankset FC-7800 172.5 673g
Bottom Bracket BB-7800 102g
Chain CN-7801 257g
Shifters ST-7800 420g
Cassette CS-7800 11-23 171g
Pedals PD-R600 304g
Front Derailleur FD-7800 80g
Rear Derailleur RD-7800 180g
Brakes BR-7800 314g
Top Cap and Bolt Cane Creek 16g
Star Nut Cane Creek 10g
BB Cable Guide & Bolt Stock 5g

I haven't weighed the wheels, but I think they are close to the claimed 1,300g from what I've read on the web.

I really like the bike as-is. The Dura-Ace 7800 has been great, except for the shape of the shift/brake levers. However, i picked up a 10-speed Sram Red (exogram) groupset. I was planning to swap the groupset and I bought a WCSfork ar 330g uncut. Also, I bought a Superlogic Seatpost, and was planning either a Kalloy Uno stem or Ritchey C-220 and a new handlebar. I figured the changes would get me well below 6.8 kg.

However, I found a great deal on 2015 Scott Addict 30. I've been splitting my time on the bikes this summer. The Addict weighs in at 8.29 Kg in stock configuration. Doing some googling I think 56 cm frames are coming in at around 950g and around 360g for the forks. So, close to the frame weight of the Lemond Victoire, but the bike certainly feels stiffer and it seems to handle a bit better.

So, Now I'm torn on which frame to build up with the weight-weenie parts. The Lemond with the WCS fork should have about 100g+ on the Addict. So, i'm leaning heavily towards the Lemond. I've got a decent stash of other parts (sram force 10 speed shifters, FSA SLK 386 crank, red rear derailleur, Record 10-spd front derailleur, etc.). So, i should be able to build up both. Just trying to figure out where to direct my primary attention.

Also, I'm looking at the following for a sub-200g bar.

Forte Corsa Carbon
Easton EC90 SLX
Cinelli Neos
Deda Superleggera
Bontrager XXX

I'm leaning Easton, but the weights of the Deda and Bontrager (180ish) are appealing.
