Super-light parts only make sense on a super-light frameset (whatever that means to you). I would go with the classy/beautiful build and skip the super-light parts for this build. Campy 80th sounds good, Hyperon wheels would be a perfect match.

@Daddy yo yo,
Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Most likely the 80th Anniversary groupset or the "Red" Campy SR (pre 2015).
Frameset/fork will repainted, will skip the original color scheme though.
Something subtle :)

Sounds good, I'm curious! :beerchug: What do you have in mind? Smth like this?

I have always loved that frameset (not the stem though). The shapes and curves are gorgeous!

Have a look at a completely nude VXR Pro Team:

Have you seen the Bettini-paint scheme?

Sometimes Lightweight wheels can look good:

Yup, saw the Bettini.
It's going to be "negative" of the Bettini paint scheme, with minimal/subtle TIME branding.
ISP will be " extended" by Jure as the length was trimmed based on Arionne's stack height back in 2006.
I'm on SLR now which has a shorter stack height.

Nice.

Even a conservative classic build can drop to mid 6kg range. This is with alloy bars & stem as well as 32 spoke Mavic GL330 rims. 6.66kg!

I still think fondly of my VXS. Time frames just seem so well made. My VXS handled really well - a little sharper than my C59.

I loved my VXRS but the handling wasn't all that it might have been. 5mm higher bb than my De Rosa Merak but that was much much more chuckable than the Time. Descending on the VXRS was nervous rather than the planted feel of the Merak. When I had my Stainless & canon bikes built I robbed the fit of the Time and the BB height & head angle and rake of the Merak. Finally had the best of both worlds - perfect fit and dependable handling.
