Actually, if you get on her bad side, she'll intentionally puncture and make you change her tires... Karma works both ways, you know :D

Here is the genuine BTP tuned Campagnolo front derailleur. It has holes drilled in the main body, material shaved off on the main body & inner cage bolts shortened down, and carbon pins in place of steel pins. I was planning to throw on a titanium spring to save more weight but decided not to. The carbon pins are glued in and it will be difficult to remove them without breaking them.

If the front derailleur looks shaved up, the rear needs to also. It's the ugly derailleur contest. I shaved aluminum off the rear derailleur when I was planning not to. I went from 146 grams to 123 grams to 114 grams. I do not know how to get to 100 grams or less. I have seen people do it but I don't know if I can remove more without feeling uncomfortable about durability. Right now I still need to make the barrel adjuster bolt shorter. Does anyone have any more suggestions on what else I can do?

If she doesn't like this when it's finished, I'll take it. Love the attraction to detail. Thanks

Throw those jockey wheels away. Pure trash. They turn to shit after 20 miles.

Since everyone hates the BTP hoods, I thought I try and see how much weight can be saved by hole punching standard SRAM hoods. 27 grams for the BTP hoods. Can I get close? At 39 grams the answer is NO.

Did you really use a hole puncher or using some hot iron rod to melt them?
Theres some difficult to reach area if you were to use puncher

I have the BTP hood in my storage for many years, don't know if i got a chance to use them.

One vote over here for the hole punched hoods, even for the 12 gram hit.
I love this thread so much!

Can heatshrink be used instead of hoods? I think it demands some sort of soft material on the top, maybe an inch (wide) of the puntured hood or a strip of bartape for weightweeningin' and then heatshrink on top of it...then patience with a stanley knife
