I've been out of town since last week, will be home tonight to start putting stuff that's arrived on the scale. Went with KCNC Ti brake and shift cables. Still haven't decided on cable housing. I don't want anything that's a PITA to install and upkeep. Need to hurry and get bike built before Labor Day weekend, will be visiting sister in the mountains = 3 days of climbing!

Shimano Ultegra brake and shift cables

KCNC Ti brake and shift cables saves 53g wow! Cost was $125 for both.
Image

Using Jagwire housing for now @ 104g
How much would their Elite Link Road cables save?

Stock bar plugs
Image

Fairwheelbikes carbon bar plugs save 14.4g cost $20
Image

Stock bar tape
Image

hard to see, 90.0g so -40g is nice and inexpensive too
Image

Stock Cannondale C1 Stem and bars, very light for alloy bars! Reselling on ebay
Image

Only thing holding project up are 3T bars, shipping address was wrong from sender causing delay.
3T ARX II stem 80mm 114.8g and + bars claimed weight 205g = 320g = -48g

Red Aerolink brakes, 259g
Image
Reselling the KCNC CB1's since I go downhill really fast

Thought this would be lighter, maybe swap the bolt out?
Image

This was also published 152g :x
Image

Old saddle I had laying around, really want a Berk Lupina
Image

Keeping SRM on my Felt for now, went with Vector 2 S
Image
Frame set with hangers, uncut steer tube, BB30 bearings, Hollowgram SI crank and headset = 1880g
Image

Wheels also came in slightly heavier than spec at 1495g (including 6 decals per wheel I can remove)
Here they are on my Aero bike. The stopping was surprisingly great with these new carbon clinchers from Flocycling

Lizard Skin DSP 2.5mm nice!

The bar ends are 0.6g more than Fairwheel's Carbons, should have saved $20 : (

KCNC 11 speed chain 233g with all links

Just waiting on stupid 3T bars that got stuck in customs : |

Thanks! Just regretting not getting light housing now that I'm putting it together, but I saved 30-40g with the Ti cables.

Spec is 205g the straws are probably around 5g I'll weight them after I route the cables to verify.

Not very weight weenie, but the machining is beautiful.
Absolute black 52/36 11% ovality
Image

Need to see if SRM + Q-rings + Keo Blade 2 ti is less weight than absoluteBLACK rings with spider and Garmin Vector 2S
I'll put the heavier option on the Felt. Have a feeling they will about the same : |

Nice close up of the CNC on the rings

Yes I looked into the cables after seeing them in this thread but in the UK they dont seem cheap at all ! Guess saving weight comes at a price !

Also I run the exact same AB rings and the shifting is unprecedented in terms of function over Q rings. The extra shifting ramps on the inside of the big ring do their job sooo well. ( i previously have Q ring ovals. )

Awesome thanks for the info on the AB rings! really looking forward to getting them on the bike ASAP. I have the bike built now at 6300g, but still need to swap SI crank arms for lighter SL, swap the Spidering with the AB rings, swap saddle out, swap heavy 250g cassette with SRAM Red cassette, install veloplugs on wheels + a couple other things and I'll be done for now : ) After that, a set of Dura-Ace 9000 C24 (the non-tubeless) would get me below 6kg! :beerchug:

I got the KCNC Ti cables for $63 USD for each set on Ebay from Taiwan, they took about 10 days to arrive.

Looks like SRM is the way to go by a long shot! I'll use the Vectors on my Felt and TT bike since weight doesn't matter there.

Currently at 6.312kg ~ 13.92lb

First race on this bike on Tuesday, won it with solo attack on last lap :beerchug:

The blue woodman bolts add a nice touch!

Better view of the 3T Aeronova Stealth LTD cockpit

Here are most of the components weights
Image

Building some Pacenti wheels would drop another 140-150g
Still need to slam the stem, removing spacer and cutting steer tube
I have CB1 brakes (-90g) but don't trust them for fast descending. This is my climbing bike and I live to go downhill fast
Can probably save another 20g on the bottle cages.

Any other suggestions?
