I've been offered a very good deal by a frame painter, the only thing is I won't have the frame painted until Christmas due to a backlog of work...

Take a look at these. A lot of there bikes have a colored clear and not no real paintjob Cool thing about that technique, is that you still see what's underneath the clear.

I've enquired about clear powdercoat and it's pretty cheap (approx $80) but my understanding is because of the lack of primer underneath it may still rust...if I did go that way I would still need to go over the frame several more times with steel wool prior.
