Very nice but it needs black stem and bottle cages IMO.

I had that same bike with the same Chorus 11 speed- it's awesome.

Yea, black will go a bit better, but I aint hating on the chrome look.

One note - Fizik makes a blue bar tape that goes totally killer with that bike. It's almost a crime NOT to use that tape - if there was one change I would say that would be totally awesome it's going with that blue tape. Check it out.

Anyway, nice bike.

I was looking for some blue tape but didn't see anything that matched well, so i figured black was a safe choice. I think i'll stick with the polished aluminum parts for now, though I do have some black 3T parts not being used at the moment. The wheels mounted right now are Fulcrum 7s and they are HEAVY. I have some Mavic Ksyrium SL SSC wheels i might throw on that would save almost a full pound.

Frame looks a little to small for you, If it is size 54, I would be happy to buy it from you :)

It is a size 54. I'm always open to offers, but shipping from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada might be expensive.

Added some new wheels; Ambrosio Excellence clinchers on a Powertap rear/Campy front hubset.

Since its my only road bike with clearance for 28s, it saw some gravel this weekend

Apparently photobucket doesn't like allowing photos to post online. Here are the final updates to the Merckx, after selling off the Campy parts and mounting up my Sram stuff & some race wheels. I finally got it on the race course at the final criterium of the season, in Little Italy here in Edmonton, where i got caught in the final 10 meters and settled for 2nd.

If you're interested, i'll be posting up the frameset for sale in the near future.

Did you end up not liking the frame?

I love it, but my S2 & Allez Sprint get 90% of the action and I’m looking at making some room for a CX bike.
