Here's my recently-finished Quantum Pro.
Not strictly a weight-weenie bike, but the comments on the other KQP thread prompted me to post.

I bought the frameset about a year ago. It was originally finished in Jade Chameleon but the paint had seen better days, so off it went to the paint shop. I was split between Gator or Moonrise, and only made my mind up at the last minute.

Build-wise, it was a bit of a challenge and took a while thanks to some non-standard fittings, but I think it's been worth it and makes a nice change from my other carbon-framed bikes.

Steerer will be cut once it's properly set up.

1999 Quantum Pro frame (57cm) w/ Aeros carbon fork

• Brakes: Campagnolo Record dual pivot
• Cassette: Campagnolo Chorus
• Saddle: Fizik Antares Vs
• Wheels: Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL

Gorgeous!!! I've been promising myself a Klein for about a decade now!!! That's exactly the colour scheme I would have too and the only time I would use Campagnolo!
How does it ride? Have you managed to weigh it?

Old Klein frame road and mtb still are my favorite paint jobs. Super nice bike!

great paint job, I'd like to know its weight (I think around 6,8 kg)

I don't have a set of bike scales, but from a basic bathroom scale measurement it's at or very close to 7kg.

Gorgeous!

I've always had a soft spot for Klein and their paintwork. I'll never forget the Attitude Pro MTB the local shop owner showed up with somewhere in the nineties. I was sold instantly. It was painted from red at the forks to white in the rear triangle, unreal! Not sure what it was called though :(.

Klein really was ahead of its time. Internal routing was just the tip of the iceberg. Aheadset style fork and stem, press fit bottom bracket, oversize steerers (on mountain bike at least)... The list goes on.

Who did the repaint? I've passes on some eBay Kleins because of the beat up paint. If a repaint job comes out looking this good maybe I won't hesitate next time

Pressfit bottom bracket? I thought we had Cannondale to blame for foisting that atrocity upon us.
But love the bike otherwise.

I sent it to etoe.de. They're well-known for Klein painting.
My frame was cosmetically bad but structurally sound.
9 month waiting list, but worth it IMO.
