I sold my Parlee and swapped parts over to this build. Thanks go out to 3delis, dudemanppl, SLCBrandon and kfreytag.
Frameset was in rough shape when I got it, so I had no choice but to strip the paint off  This was over 100g of paint removed, I unfortunately didn't remove the BB or get a fork weight prior to stripping it.

I really like the build list on this. Very nice.

Nice one! How did you stripped off the paint? And how much time it took?

Turned out looking great. I'd be curious to know if you used a chemical stripper or... And what did you do after the paint was stripped, any sealing/coating?

The CCUs suit that frame perfectly. I've got to imagine they drop a couple hundred grams off overall bike weight, too.

@gangbang @VTR I channeled my inner prendrefred and artray/xena and went to town with a razor blade. However, that was not working fast enough on the frame, so I used a paint stripper and a dremel with a sanding bit. The finish definitely isn't perfect, but it works for now. While I do have plans to get it painted, I'll have to see when I have some free time to get it taken apart and done.
@kfreytag, it was nice meeting you and your Parlee is even nicer in person! The CCUs are awesome, I should have weighed them to get an exact weight difference, but I imagine the bike with the CCUs on is roughly 250g lighter, which would put it somewhere near 6.5 kg? Not a bad weight to me!
@SLCBrandon, thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

This one deserves a bit more attention, although it is missing a bit of a build story as well. Great looking machine. I love the idea of stripping it when the paint looks rough.

Great job!

I believe the bike's already changed shoes since the CCUs. Nes pas?

I like both versions of this - painted & naked. Win/win!
