I picked up a 2011 look 695 this weekend.
I am Planning on giving it a different fresh new paint job.
I still don't know what paint scheme i should go with or who is going to do the work.
the frame is in pretty good condition for being 5 years old. The zed cranks look a little bit up but they will soon be repainted.
I am Deciding whether i should go with Red 22 or Mechanical super record
Any advice highly welcome.
Sorry, I don't Know why the photos came out so bad.

That's a classy frame! I would not repaint it btw. Just remove or replace the crankset stickers.

I am thinking about restoring the frame back to its original factory paint.
The frame has a few small clear coat chips that are bugging me.
I also want to see if it's possible to get a less glossy finish.

Lovely frame. I think the colour scheme is good already, I'd love to see it with etap!!!
This is probably my favorite frame...just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the build progress.

I love the idea of building it with Etap but I just don't like the look of the group. I wish Sram would of kept the red 22 colorway on the new Etap.
I've decided on the wheels though.
Corima s+ 47mm

That is a super nice frame, lusting for one myself. Enjoy building it! Champy does look great on it, and keeps with the euro theme
Either a classic Look paintjob, the Holland or Norway edition.
The Holland edition would look even better with black decals IMO

My favorite ANY Look look is Mondrian. Delicious but I'm a fan of "raw" carbon look too ( maybe sometimes matt/ satin instead of high gloss , but raw fibers have some charm )
Superb choice of wheels ! Congrats !
Ok, i'm bit jealous

John from cycle therapy is working on a computer sketch of the paint right now. one in traditional and one in a semi-gloss with the carbon weave still showing.
does anyone know the benefits of the corima s+ compared to the the normal corima s wheels?
i checked them out at my lbs today and the weight difference is only 100grams but the price is $700 dollars apart.

"S" vs "S+" check weight Plus is lighter. Much lighter. 80-90g just on front wheel, but it depends on profile. Another dofference is in hubs.

So, I tried to love the original frame paint but I just couldn't. Call me boring, but I love black frames and white or dark logging.
I thought a semi-matte Look 695 with charcoal gray logos would look really cool, so I decided to go with that.
Here is the artwork. The frame is being sanded down right now, and I will get it back in three and half weeks. I'm also really torn between Etap and Super Record Mechanical. I got a chance to try the new Etap and I really like it, but campy is campy, and it looks so beautiful. The only thing that's stopping me from getting Super Record is that I feel that the cabling on Look 695 frames looks messy.

Sorry burglarboycie, I found an amazing deal on a brand new Super Record mechanical that i can't pass up. Don't worry though, by the end of summer I'm starting up BMC Slr01 or 02 build that I'm planning to use Etap for.

Had some time on my hand so I made a full Parts list.
I was hopping for 12-13 pounds, but that might not be realists with his frameset.
I emailed John to weigh the frameset, stem, and cranks; so those weights are accounted for. The rest was pulled off the internet, Hopefully the real world weight comes close.
I will reweigh all the parts that were repainted once i get them bank and will update the list.
let me know if my math failed me and suggestions are always welcomed.
