Hi guys,

here's something I wanted to do ever since I saw Tim Johnson's prototype. Eliflap's been a great help with getting parts together, thanks for that.

Final weight is around 7.75kg. As this is my first drop bar bike, I'm still finding myself on what stem length and bar position should be and as soon as I get that right I'll get stem/bar combo. Other than that, bike's done :)

Code: Select all

Frame             LTK027 53cm
R/D               M9050
Shifter/Brakes    ST-R785
Cassette          X01 10-42
Chain             KMC X11 SL DLC
Tires             Pacenti Pari-Moto 38mm
Front_Wheel       ENVE XC 650b/Extralite HyperLefty/CX Ray
Rear_Wheel        ENVE XC 650b/Extralite HyperRear/CX Ray
Seatpost          Saso POC28 300mm
Handlebar         OEM UD 42cm
Stem              KCNC SC Wing 100mm
Fork              Lefty Speed Carbon SL 30mm
Saddle            Selle Italia SLR Carbonio
Grips/Tape        Lizard Skins DSP
Crank             Cannondale SISL2
Pedals            AEST

So, go on then, why has it only got one fork leg?

It's called the lefty. Cannondale also has several lefty models.

Can you tell us where you bought the fork from?

@Valbrona Yes, it's lefty, Cannondale's thing.

@Beancouter I bought 26" Speed Carbon SL 110mm used in very good condition and sent it to eighty-aid.com for modification to make it 30mm, basically make it like Lefty Oliver is.

Wow, pretty cool! I just sold my LTK027, but it was an excellent frame.

If you are ok with those pedals, why not. Liked eli's bike. No reason not to like this one. Very well done.

Thanks everyone. I've had some time to drive it around and it's very good. I miscalculated with chainring, will be ordering 44T soon. One thing that I like is having upshift/downshift on both handles, it makes life easier being able to change gear without any effort.

@prendrefeu it's Fabric water bottle.

@bura I'm not set on pedals yet. I do know that I don't want SPD as this is to get to/from work and to take the dog for a walk :)
