Built up this super-bike for my girlfriend. She's just ridden in a few times, but loves the ride. She said it felt like an enormous upgrade compared to her Amira SL4 with Ultegra components - which is nice to hear!

Wrote more words and more pictures in a Velonode.cc blogpost!

Weight: it's light, but exact numbers TBA. My intuition says around 6.3 or less!

Beautiful bike.... love that color.

My only question is, if she had the Amira before, why not go for the S-Works Amira that comes in this same color? The Amira version has a lighter color S-Works logo and I think it looks even better.

She wasn't happy with the Amira geometry and let's face it - the New tarmac is better than the Amira Sl4. And considering she's using a 110mm stem 10mm from slam on a tarmac would result in an awkward 130mm -25 degree stem on a slammed Amira to achieve the same fit.

I saw that paint job at the bike show this weekend it looks amazing. Reminds me of the old Klein mtb paint jobs.

I build up a nice bike for my wife too this weekend. Best thing about it she has already ridden it twice. Have to only carry 14½ pounds up the stairs makes it a lot more fun to ride.

Fair enough... I'd assume you could make either of the fits work and I wasn't aware of the fact that the Amira wasn't as good.

Beautiful bike though.. I'm sure she's going to love it.

I've seen that colour on line, looks amazing and even better above! Is it the same colour they made for Boonen's Venge last year?

The Tarmac paint is less metallic-flake-looking. More like a solid color!

Its not the same as the Boonen Venge. I had the S-Works chameleon, but the paint used on that is just blue-purple prismatic. Boonen's paint is a different PPG paint that has a teal hue. My bike now has the Boonen paint color and its for sure different and of higher quality/luminance.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

Those Ritchey stems are beautiful but man they are a royal pain in the ass if you want to make a change.
