2015 CAAD10 Black Inc Disc build
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
Hi,
bought a 2015 Black Inc Disc Frameset (Size 50) and been building over the last few months. Almost complete save the normal tinkering, started off as a winter bike with the intention of moving my ultegra group from another bike but have put the new components that were going on my Roubaix on the CAAD 10 instead. Comments/thoughts are welcome.

Nice, what BB adapter did you choose?
Also did you weigh the frame and fork?

Why didn't you get Shimano rotors? Also what's that bartape?
Thanks cdtf,
regarding Shimano rotors: couple of reasons,
1) I have the RT99 on another bike and they are superb but a little "shiny" they draw the eye a little too much with that alloy HS. but, I think they are the best rotors available.
2) I had the Avid HSX on one of my past hard tails and really got on with them so when I found the 140mm version for £9.99 !!!!ea instead of £53.00 I bought 4, just had to really. I also think they blend in a little better than the RT99.
For what its worth my Shimano 140mm RT99 rotors weigh 96g each, the Avid HSX 140mm weigh 100g on the nose ea.
Bar tape is Lizard Skins DSP 2.5mm

Hi ross, thanks for the comment:
I originally bought the Praxis 30-24 but found that it does not allow room around the sleeve for Di2 wiring or the rear brake hose. could have dremmelled it I guess but in the end fitted a Rotor 30-24 this has a slimmer sleeve which allowed the Di2 and the rear brake hose to pass over/under the sleeve, happy with the result.
Frame and fork, I did weigh but cant find the piece of paper I wrote it down on! I think from memory the fork was 395g and the frame 1320g but I will confirm those weights when I find my scribbles.

Amazing build!
I have a size 56 of that frame I'll be building with an Ultegra Di2 groupset in a couple of weeks and have a question about the E-tube cables and the hydraulic hose - is there a specific reason you choose that hole for them?
Also, what does the clearance in the fork and the chainstays looks like with the Open Pave (27mm or 25mm?) installed?

Hi Lynet,
Glad you like it, to answer your questions;
Frame is dual ported for mechanical or Di2 so the LHS port is ready without cable guides and nicely accepts both the Hydraulic hose and E-tube wire together, and made life simple. The Open Paves on the picture are 25mm but there is plenty of room to accept 27-28mm, indeed I will be putting 27s on next.

Lynet,
If it helps with your build, I used the following lengths of E-Tube wires:
2 x 350mm (shifters to SM-EW90 A box mounted under stem)
1x 950mm (SM-EW90 A box to SM-JC41 Box) tucked J box just up inside down tube from Bottom bracket.
1x 350mm (SM-JC41 Box to FD)
1x 600mm (SM-JC41 Box to RD)
1x 750mm (SM-JC41 Box to SMBTR2 Battery) Battery is inside seat post using a VEL Di2 battery holder 750mm allows approx. 20cm spare so I can remove seat post and get to battery without loosing cable!
about 1 pack of E-Tube cable ties to stop rattles in frame
I also purchased the SMBCR2 internal battery charger.

Great Job Lincs
I had the same idea and bought one for a winter ride as well - however when I saw the frame I was blown away at how nice it is (it will pain me to get it all dirty) and led me to put a lot nicer components on it than originally intended.
BTW my Size 60 weighed 1432 and the fork was 437 Uncut.
