Hi
second hand bike that I picked up today. This has been shown here before but by others (no purple!).
Paint is pretty incredible in sun. Falz fork! That and the geometry enough to get me in. Short top tube and hence less drop. Might be a good audax bike for me (or at least eliminate the cramps in upper back i see after about 80 km's on the EPS).
As usual I couldn't wait and built it straight away without weighing things etc.
It is a Campag group (SR with Chorus RD) (pre 2015) and has a Power2Max S on it.
Lightweights (Gip on front and Ventoux on rear but same really).
Veloflex Carbon so relatively light tyres.
3t team Ergosum Handelbar (38 cm which looks mental narrow), Deda 120 mm Zero100 stem (-8 deg)
Fizik Cyrano post, Fizik Kurve Chameleon seat. Keywin pedals.
Have ridden it on rollers only to get bar right for me etc. Big ride tomorrow hopefully.
Came from BikeTart in like new condition.
Resultant weight is 7;5 kg. Improvements that could happen
- seatpost (~ 100 g)
- stem (~ 50 g)
- seat (like AX Lightness saddle these days so could easily go for that) (~ 90 g)
- brakes (~ 100 g)
But i might not bother. Instead might find some 27 mm tubs to stick on it and start using it for the commute and see how i go. Have got a -17 deg 3T 120 mm stem waiting for me at work though. looking forward to getting that stem parallel to top tube. wondering if might even get away with 130 mm. i will try and get a photo in some light tomorrow.
cheers

Looks good - enjoy!
Put ax saddle on it and got rid of post marker. Proportions improving. Can't wait to see it with -17 deg stem parallel to top tube.
Wont get first ride til tomorrow.
Have ordered 27 mm tubs for it.
Hey thanks bely! And thanks rich. Very nice.

Trying to improve its looks. I'm not as impressed by 17 deg stem as I thought I would be.
Is it that the stem is too thick relative to tubes? Something is amiss I feel.

I think it's because the bars are still tilted back. If you need that from a positional perspective then I'd go back to a -10* or -8* stem.
In my opinion, -17* stems only look right when they're quill stems on old bikes.
Those Hyperons enhance the look no end anyway!

Looking good now.
Seems like the cable length in front needs to be cleaned up.
And that 3T stem is no fatter than the Deda (actually the Deda is arguably fatter.)
I would hit the stem with some acetone to remove graphics and get out riding.

stoli yes the cable work leaves alot to be desired. i will attack this soon and have followed your advice and removed decals.
note the 3t 120 mm stem was 148 g.
i am getting a second hand look saddle post in and will likely cut half of it off. should be able to best the 229 grams of weight currently have with the fizik post. with this rig it is not the minimum insertion limit that is the issue however, it is the max. currently only about 12 cm of post sticking out.

Photo update of current setup. 350 km in past week. Most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Near new hyperons on it with 27 mm paves today. Getting ready for a semi gravel audax next weekend. I'm thinking 110 mm stem might suit me and bike better but then again might wait and see.
