My previous bike was a 2011 supersix. Haven't ridden the older allez before.

The allez sprint felt stiffer, has better power transfer and is more aero than my supersix. Supersix is more comfortable and slightly more lively.

Here's my new DSW Allez, a Specialized Edition Allez Sprint x2, size 58, picked it up just before the weekend and took it with me to ride at the beach [emoji6]

That's a bit of an overkill for beach cruising lol although I'm sure you could totally out sprint anyone on that

Lol, I did pick up 4th overall on a 1.8km "sprint" that I wasn't aware of until I uploaded the ride (this was a weekend break in an unfamiliar area)

I'm just starting out in road racing and my other ride is a C60, this will be my race/training bike as I have no desire to trash the Colnago in an inevitable crash.

Very nice bike! Too bad this doesn't come locally.

My 2017 Allez DSW SL Sprint Comp fresh from its bike-2-work routine and shower :

And a Vital MTB album for more crappy cell-phone pics.

It surely deserves better ... but I need to find a better background too as well as an invisible stand.

I've got some changes coming to my Allez... I'm thinking it might come in at around 15 pounds even. We'll see.

Anyone have a lead on an Allez frameset in a 56? Broke mine yesterday and would like to get another quickly! Thanks!

Been doing some work on my Allez...

stripping the paint.

and then brushed finish w/ black S-Works Tarmac fork. 150g worth of weight loss between the frame and fork. Some of that will go back on when I put some vinyl graphics on and clear coat it.

Looking forward to seeing this finished - I've been thinking about doing this to my DSW - what did you use to strip the frame?
