Impressive weight for alum frame!
Imagine what that 'could be with a money no object carbon frame/fork...
Could that get to near the 4kg mark?

I just hope your friend rides hill climbs!

Its a local brand frame (sourcing from china/Taiwan), IMO its build only for brand/frame advertise.

Yeah, throw on some nicer 800gram-ish frame. Gut left shifter and this will be amazing bike.

To bad the pictures are gone, seems to be a nice bike even with a heavy frame like this

Have to agree with others that so much bling doesn't belong on this frameset but with that said, I like the look of the frameset. I spent a while in Thailand and Nich looks like they have some promising stuff.

Why is the frame weight so much. I have an older Giant TCR ZERO frame that is almost right on 1000g and my custom Steel English frame is 1300g so an aluminum frame should never be that much?

I understand why they have put what they have on the frame as they want to promote their product but that is heavy for any frame no matter what material you are using. You can by a generic carbon frame and cut 700g right off the weight almost. so with that said you could be almost sub 4kg which is impressive.

Nich is a pile of rubbish in my opinion, just generic open mold carbon frames and this alu frame. If the OP friend really wanted to support a Thai brand, he'd have been better off supporting Infinite who at least design their own frames and sponsor a continental team.
